It’s sad how fast the old ones are going. Eva Marie Saint, Lee Grant and Ann Blythe are Natuonal treasures and should be saved as long as feasible. Nancy Ilaen too.

But no matter what, in ten years all the golden age stars will be gone.

Sidney Poitier is the first black person to win the an Oscar for a lead Actor. Angela didn’t win an Oscar.

Sidney’s overall contribution to the history of cinema is unparalleled.

I love the TCM Memoriam because they always save the best and most deserving of recognition for last.

Angela probably would have got the first spot but Peter Bogdonovitch was a friend of the network and did a podcast for them as well as lots of appearances at their events.
