You gotta figure as actors it's not hard to rationalize, well, our characters are lovers so shouldn't we.... then throw in gay men and kaboom.
That said, Bailey gave an interview some years back where he came down strongly in favour of monogamy. So whether that was then and this is now... it is a mystery with a whiff of sex. (actually it was only 2019.)

Yes. It is hard. You don't shit where you eat. Not everyone wants to sleep with everyone else. Two people may not even be attracted to each other, it's a job. Most people who play couples aren't actually fucking each other and that one clearly likes his grandpas.
